10 Ways to get Healthy and Happy in 2019- Life Hacks for Happiness

Hello! Hope everyone is enjoying their week! Today's blog post is about ways and Hacks to Live and master a healthy and happy lifestyle in 2019.

1. Do more Physical Exercise: By doing this you will feel happier because you'll feel better about your body. The more exercise you do the more your body will get used to it and want to keep going. Being active also increases your endorphins to be in a better mood and give you more energy.

2. Get more Quality Sleep You will think clearer and be more positive! who doesn't want that? Right A goodnight sleep makes people more positive and happier. I realize the difference a full 8 hours vs a 9 hour sleep does the following day for my energy levels and my mood.

3. Put down your cell phone/ Electronic Devices: On Your devices you are being consumed by negative news/self doubt and Comparison. To prevent this, take time to be with others or sit down and read a book and clear your mind and recharge.

4. Spend More time socializing with people This Improves your happiness and overall quality of life. By doing this it gives you a chance to connect/re-connect with others and make meaningful lasting relationships.

5. Spend More time Outside Get fresh Air, a sense of Nature, Clear your Mind and Explore new things about yourself Spending more time outside also Boost your mood & Broadens thinking and improves the working memory.

6. Helping Others for two hours per week You can do this many ways. For example, through Volunteer which will give you higher life satisfaction . I've volunteered for the Foodbank, Childrens Hospital, Church children program and more and I'd like to do more volunteering later in life. A Great way to volunteer is to look online at the location you want to volunteer and they should have a form you can fill out and send to them. You can also visit your local food bank and volunteer. I started my volunteer experience with community hours for high-school and loved it and kept going.

7. Meditation: Helps focus, clarity, attention span, calmness and happiness.

Headspace App on your phone will help you achieve your daily meditation.

8. Practice Gratitude: Be thankful for what you have. Write down daily or weekly what you are thankful for. By Knowing what your grateful for is proven to increase happiness.

9. Spend more on experience, not things: Doing an activity and experimenting it brings more happiness than buying an expensive item/toy. Go bowling, out to a meal with friends or even invite others over to your place and host a party for them.

10. Eat a healthy diet: Eating foods that help your happiness & give mood boosters: EX. salmon, Dark Chocolate, Barrie's, Spinach/Kale, Almonds.
